(KLF) donated over 300 pairs of shoes to victims of Hurricane Tomas living on the Windward side of St. Vincent. The All-Stars had come together in St. Vincent for their first group meeting since their trip to the States in July. On Saturday, November 13th, 2010, Adonal Foyle’s All-Star Student-Athletes and their mentors loaded up a truck of donated CrocsTM and carried them to the communities of Fancy, Owia, Sandy Bay, Tourama and Chester Town.

Duke defend Championship title! Rising Stars II and Hornets emerge Divion 2 and Under 16 Champions as Bequia Basketball 2010 tourney concludes!

Duke, Rising Stars II and Hornets emerge 2010 Champions of the Bequia Basketball Competition in their respective divisions. Gold and silver medals, awards and trophies were presented last Saturday night following the games, as an impressive crowd of fans gathered to witness another successful conclusion to the annual tournament, that has become a fixture in the summer calendar for Bequians, and now running twelve years in succession!

Read more...The Kerosene Lamp Foundation, founded by Adonal Foyle launches their newest mentorship program entitled “All-Star Student Athletes.”

 

Six children have been selected from five islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines as All-Star Student Athletes to travel to Orlando, USA on Thursday July 15th for a two- week summer camp.

The Twelfth Annual Bequia Basketball Tournament bounced off Saturday July 10th at the Clive Tannis Hard Court on Bequia with twelve teams parading in their colourful uniforms, to a warm reception from the Bequia community. Visiting team from the mainland Calliaqua United also joined in the auspicious ceremony, which celebrates twelve years of basketball competition on Bequia, under the leadership of Sabrina Mitchell. Team Young Duke was adjudged and awarded a cake as the Best Dressed Team 2010.
