The Central Americana and Caribbean Sports Organisation (CACSO) visited Guatemala where one of its cities, Quetzaltenango, is bidding to host the Central American and Caribbean games.

SVGNOC General Secretary Keith Joseph in his capacity as Vice President of the CACSO Technical Commission, is serving on an Evaluation Commission of the organisation to determine whether or not Quetzaltenango meets the requirements of a host city for the games in 2018.
