Within the International Olympic Movement
the actual execution of all education programmes is seen as the principal function of the National Olympic Academy, NOA.

This is conceived as the educational branch of the NOC. St Vincent and the Grenadines established its National Olympic Committee on 11 November 1992, the first of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean. Since then the organisation has been instrumental in the coordination of Olympic educational programmes and activities in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The NOA has as its primary objective the promotion of Olympism. The NOA has therefore become an integral part of the universal Olympic family whose all-inclusive policy is intended to rise above the narrow and destructive force of ethnic, gender, religious, political and racial discrimination.
